Hello guys....
Bought a used car that has 37k miles on it and I'm going to replace the tires due to cupping. It is about a year and a half old.
My thinking is that I don't need to replace/rebuild/re-battery the TPMS because it is not very old. Other things to consider?
Thanks!
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.

TPMS - Is it miles or age that matters?
Yes and no. It is important to check the battery status with a special diagnostic tool dedicated to TPMS. Usually only states: OK and NOT OK. The average life span of the TPMS is about 5 years from the date of manufacture of the sensor and is dictated by the battery life.
After replacing the tire you have to set the TPMS.
Driving with disabled TPMS is an offense!!
All information was given at "ATE, VDO & Continental Group" training meeting about TPMS at my university.
TPMS is an obligatory in cars produced above 2012 and homologated above 2014.
Szczerze, takie gunwo to jest, że brak słów. Ale (ł)Unia wymyśliła...
